The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for a man captured in a viral video assaulting a suspect.
The Police Service has strongly condemned the incident and said efforts have been intensified to identify, arrest and prosecute the individual involved.
In a statement, the Service said the circumstances surrounding the incident are also being investigated.
The police did not provide further details about the identity of the man who assaulted the suspect, the location where the incident occurred or the circumstances that led to the assault.
However, it is believed that the incident occurred at the CID premises.
It added that all persons found culpable in connection with the incident will be taken through due process of the law.
