Incident reported near Mascot Hotel in Accra

An incident involving two young men occurred near Mascot Hotel, according to eyewitness accounts and information gathered from hotel workers in the area.
Sources allege the two men, described as approximately 6ft and 5ft tall, had been seen frequenting the hotel. Hotel staff reportedly shared information about the men with some residents in the area.
According to eyewitness reports, the two individuals were later confronted by a group of people. The situation escalated into a mob action, during which both men sustained injuries to their hands, legs, and head. They were later rescued from the scene.
Sources indicate that one of the victims, the 6ft tall individual, resides in the area and comes from a family described as well-off. CCTV footage from the area is said to exist and has been referenced in relation to the incident.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement on the matter.
