UBA Ghana held a first-of-its-kind breakfast meeting with POS handlers and merchants at the Accra City Hotel, bringing together key players within its merchant network to strengthen relationships, exchange insights and foster closer collaboration.
The interactive session was to connect with partners, better understand their business and payment needs, and gather feedback on their experiences. Discussions focused on “Understanding Your Business & Payment Needs,” “UBA POS: Powering Your Business,” and “POS Experience: Interactive Q&A and Open Discussion.”

The meeting also highlighted the important role of merchants and POS handlers in driving digital payments and advancing financial inclusion, while emphasising the value of collaboration in enhancing service delivery.
Through this engagement, the bank demonstrates its commitment to supporting its merchant partners with relevant and reliable payment solutions, while maintaining open channels of communication to respond effectively to their business needs.
The meeting was led by Daniel Sarpong, Executive Director, UBA Ghana, alongside Michael Assem, Head, Corporate Cash Management and Value Chain Finance; Kwame Anokye, Team Member, Transaction Banking; Abu-bakr Mohammed, Transaction Banking Officer; and Beatrice Essuman, Direct Sales.
Attendees shared their experiences, raised concerns and sought clarification on various issues, while receiving updates on UBA’s payment solutions and services.
UBA POS enables merchants to accept payments for goods and services using payment cards issued by banks on the network, as well as Mobile Money. UBA POS provides a secure, reliable and convenient way for businesses to receive payments.
