New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer for the 2028 general elections, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has donated a total of GH₵150,000 to support the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Christ Congregation in Juansa, and the family of the late Abusuapanin Ofosu Nkansah.
The donation was made during a church service held in memory of the late family patriarch.
Dr. Bawumia presented GH₵100,000 towards the construction of a new church building at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Christ Congregation in Juansa, in honour of the deceased.
He made a further GH₵50,000 donation directly to the bereaved family.
Bawumia supports church project in honour of Ofosu Nkansah
The GH₵100,000 contribution will support the construction of a new church building in memory of Abusuapanin Ofosu Nkansah.
The gesture formed part of Dr Bawumia’s efforts to honour the deceased while supporting a project of importance to the local congregation.
The former Vice President also expressed his condolences to former National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) Chief Executive Officer, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, and members of the family following the death of his father.

In addition to the church donation, Dr Bawumia presented GH₵50,000 to the bereaved family as they mourn the loss of their patriarch.
His visit and financial support were intended to demonstrate solidarity with the family during the period of mourning.
The combined donations bring Dr Bawumia’s contribution to the church and family to GH₵150,000.
NPP figures join Bawumia at Juansa funeral
Dr Bawumia was accompanied to the funeral by former Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu and other senior members of the New Patriotic Party.
His arrival at the funeral venue was met with a strong reception from mourners and members of the Juansa community.
Some of those present expressed their confidence in DDrBawumia’s prospects ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The condolence visit and donation highlighted DDrBawumia’s support for the bereaved family while contributing to a community church project in honour of the late Abusuapanin Ofosu Nkansah.
